We use treated lumber, cedar, tropical hardwood, and composites and synthetics.
Will you provide a written contract?
Yes, RLK Builders, Inc. will provide a detailed, written contract for each job. The contract will include your price and payment schedule.
Are you insured?
RLK Builders, Inc. carries general liability insurance and worker’s compensation insurance.
Is a building permit required?
RLK Builders, Inc. will pull any permits that are required by local ordinance.
Once I receive an estimate, how long is that good for?
Our estimates are typically valid for 15 to 30 days, depending upon market conditions.
How do you handle unexpected costs?
Occasionally, unforeseen challenges arise during a remodeling project (like hidden problems behind walls). RLK Builders, Inc. works with you to explain solutions and adjust pricing accordingly.
How do you handle deliveries of materials?
All framing and deck materials are hand-picked and delivered by RLK Builders, Inc. in our trucks. We take great care to respect your property and we do not leave materials piled in the driveway.
What is your payment schedule?
Payment schedules are based on the size and scope of each project. Your deposit will range between 10%-50% of the estimated cost, and the contract will outline the progress payment schedule after that.
